Mark 3:31-35

And his mother and his brethren came; and standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him; and they say to him: Behold thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And answering them, he said: Who is my mother and my brethren? And looking round about on them who sat about him, he saith: Behold my mother and my brethren. For whosoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Jesus teaches that those who do God’s will are His true family. These words do not diminish His earthly family but expand the meaning of spiritual belonging. Through faith, we become part of a community united by God’s love. This Gospel reminds us that the Church is more than an institution; it is a family of believers supporting one another on the journey of faith. We strengthen this bond through prayer, service, and mutual encouragement. As members of Christ’s family, we are called to reflect His love and welcome others into His embrace.
