Luke 9:7-9
Now Herod, the tetrarch, heard of all things that were done by him. And he was in a doubt, because it was said By some that John was risen from the dead: but by other some, that Elias had appeared: and by others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. And Herod said: John I have beheaded. But who is this of whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him.
Herod is intrigued by Jesus but remains uncertain about His identity. Curiosity alone is not enough; genuine faith requires commitment and openness to truth. This Gospel invites us to move beyond mere interest in Jesus and toward a deeper relationship with Him. We are called not only to ask questions but also to respond to God’s invitation. Faith grows when we seek Christ sincerely and allow His presence to shape our lives.
