This Novena for Vocational Discernment is for anyone seeking God’s guidance in discovering His unique calling for their life. Whether discerning a vocation to marriage, the priesthood, religious life, consecrated single life, or another path of faithful service, this novena invites us to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit with trust, courage, and openness to God’s will.
Opening Prayer (Pray Each Day)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father,
From all eternity, You have known me, loved me, and called me by name. You created me with a unique purpose, inviting me to live a life of holiness and joyful service.
Today I come before You seeking the grace to discern Your will for my life.
I place before You my special intention:

Day 1 – Listening to God’s Voice
Lord Jesus,
In the busyness of life, I often struggle to hear Your gentle voice. Quiet my heart and help me make time for prayer, so that I may recognize Your loving invitation.

Day 2 – Trusting God’s Plan
Heavenly Father,
Your wisdom is greater than my understanding. Teach me to trust that Your plan for my life is filled with hope, purpose, and lasting joy.

Day 3 – Freedom from Fear
Merciful Savior,
Sometimes I fear the unknown or hesitate to follow where You lead. Remove every fear that keeps me from saying “yes” to Your will.

Day 4 – Seeking Wisdom
Holy Spirit,
Fill me with Your wisdom as I seek to understand the vocation You have prepared for me. Help me make decisions guided by faith rather than by worldly expectations.

Day 5 – Generosity of Heart
Loving Lord,
Teach me to respond generously to Your call. Help me remember that true happiness is found not in doing my own will, but in faithfully following Yours.

Lord Jesus,
Like Mary who responded, “Let it be done to me according to your word,” help me embrace Your call with confidence and love. Give me courage to follow wherever You lead.

Day 9 – Joyful Surrender
Heavenly Father,
Today I place my future completely into Your hands. Whatever vocation You have prepared for me, help me embrace it with faith, humility, and joy. May my life become a witness of Your love, and may every gift You have given me be used to serve You and others. Lead me always toward holiness and eternal life with You.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for creating me with love and calling me to live a life of holiness. Thank You for walking beside me each day, even when the path ahead is not yet clear.
Grant me the grace to recognize Your voice above every other voice. Fill me with the wisdom to discern well, the courage to choose what is right, and the perseverance to remain faithful throughout my life.
Whether You call me to marriage, the priesthood, religious life, consecrated single life, or another form of faithful service, help me embrace my vocation with joy, humility, and complete trust in Your providence.
